About
This is a work in progress. Yes, it's live. But I need it to be for testing. I grew up with a wild imagination in the woods of South Arkansas — making and collecting beautiful things. I expanded my horizons while gazing out across the Appalachian Mountains of Knoxville, Tennessee.
This path led me to explore more of Tennessee and to pursue a career in graphic design for direct marketing—and later, higher education. I relish opportunities to share lived knowledge with new designers, serve my communities more richly, play with technology more often, and reminisce about the evolution of the design field. My process involves change, ebb and flow, and instinct. I'm tragically obsessed with proving myself and delight in discovering accidental magnificence.
I am based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, just south of Nashville. In the Fall or Spring semester, I'm tapped into teaching, research, and service. In the summer, I reflect on what I've learned throughout the year and strive to live life unplugged.
